Ailbe's Irish Bank

 Six 4th year students are taking part in the AIB Build a Bank Challenge, which is a national competition for secondary schools.

These students are :-

Eoin Kennedy (Manager), Kevin Fox(Assistant Manager), Catherine Kelly(Auditor), Amy Flynn(Marketing Officer), Ciara Farrell(Teller) and Eddie Ryan(Teller).

 

The different accounts the school bank provide are:

·        Junior saver account- for people under 13 years

·        Student account- for people between 13 and 18 years

·        Student plus account- for people doing 3rd level education

There is also money off offers available for students going on trips to Save with the school bank and get:

·        €100 off for those going to Paris

 

Some of the services available in the school are:

·        CAO applicants may pay their fees through the bank

·        Leaving and junior cert students may pay their exam fees

·       The staff and mature students may pay their utility bills

 

Also available is phone and Internet banking- it’s a service that gives you new levels of access and control so you can manage your money the way you want to.

-With AIB phone and Internet banking you can:

·        Check the balance of your accounts (on the internet you can also view and print off your         accounts).

·        Check the most recent transactions on the accounts.

·        Pay the following bills: ESB, Eircom, Gas, MBNA, ntl, Vodafone, o2, Visa and MasterCard.

·        Transfer money between your own accounts, to other AIB accounts and to non-AIB accounts once you set them up.

·        Top up any Vodafone, o2 or Meteor prepaid mobile

·        Order a statement

·        Enquire whether a cheque has been presented.
